Punzel's Poetry
Also Known as Verses by Viola
Ballads and Songs
- An Honor at the Royal Court -- A poem detailing Punzel's royally-commanded appearance at the Royal Court before Her Majesty Queen Vivienne, when Punzel recited at Her Majesty's request and was named an Honored Guest. Note: This poem was written at the request of Sir Bragi, the Royal Poet, and was recited for his enjoyment during his quest for an apprentice. Punzel was named Sir Bragi's official apprentice mere weeks before her death.
- The Ballad of the Winter Ball -- A poem detailing that elegant affair which took place in the Inner Bailey on the 10th of December (2000), including Her Majesty Queen Vivienne's appearance and speech.
- The Ballad of ser Martel's First Duel -- At the Poets' Convocation before His Highness Prince Bertram, Sir Alrik, and Sir Bragi, Punzel recited this poem about ser Martel's duel with Victor Savory, which took place on the 29th of September (2000), about one week after Punzel's awakening.
- The Ballad of Viola (or, The Ballad of ser Punzel) -- The poem which Punzel did recite at the Giving Day Dance on the 29th of October (2000), revealing her true gender.
- The Hero's Ballad -- A poem of knightly heroism against a dragon foe, commissioned by Lord Sicard -- Her Majesty's Royal Champion -- as a gift for Lady Amoret. Some gossiped that this poem also expressed some hidden information regarding Punzel's feelings toward sers Martel and Morte, but that is but speculation.
- The Ballad of Artegal and Illiana's Wedding -- A poem detailing the first marriage ceremony of the New Awakenings, between two of Punzel's closest friends.
- The Song of the Shadow -- Punzel wrote this poem when the Shadow first began to appear and rumors were circulating madly around the castle.
- Althea Imprisoned -- One of Punzel's earliest poems, about a lonely princess. Some have speculated in retrospect that Punzel was attempting, in this publicly-performed poem, to hint about her own femininity in boyish disguise, but none noticed at the time.
