A leader we can trust is necessary --
A man whose diligence so rarely rests,
Upholding always the Capitulary.
A man who is so worthy of esteem
That he will give up everything for duty --
Declines to be a knight, his greatest dream.
In such a sacrifice lies greatest beauty.
Some folk may scoff at selfless dedication,
Just as they mock his blushing modesty,
But we all benefit from his protection
In service to Her Gracious Majesty.
And so with these, my solemn thanks, I send
