"Making Snow Angels"
We sit around the fire, safely dry,
And hear folk argue or tell tales of woe
When suddenly we stop to ask us why
We gossip in this land of sparkling snow.
We race to where the icy winds do blow
Like children, innocent and graced with charm.
We make snow angels, our cheeks all aglow,
Their beauty freed by waving leg and arm.
The cold and ice bring joy to us, no harm --
Instead of gossip, air rings with our giggles.
With chilly skin, we find our hearts are warm --
True health and happiness wrought by our wriggles.
Shivering by the fire, not long after,
We know we've been drawn closer by laughter.
