Lord Sicard is a tall, ruggedly handsome fair-skinned man
with ash-blond hair pulled back and tied with a cord. He is
carrying his scroll. He is wearing a royal badge, a
gold-encrusted scabbard, a dark red beretta, tall black boots,
maroon suede trunkhose, black hose and a black brocade doublet.
Sir Launfal is a discreet gentleman. He is carrying his amulet of strength.
He is wearing a pair of epaulets, a pair of boots, a shirt, a
pair of pants, a pocket watch, a set of keys, a jacket, a
jerkin, a set of keys, a set of keys and a brown scabbard.
Martel is a tall, bulky man with a full head of wavy dark
brown hair, long and worn in a ponytail, and tanned skin. He is
carrying his lush white velveteen overvest. He is wearing a
brown scabbard, a green scarf, a handkerchief, a rosette, a
creamy white brocade doublet, black gloves, black boots, dark
green hose, moss green suede trunkhose and a white linen shirt.

Martel stiffly stands.
Stone walls rise so high and thick around this great open
courtyard that that the cruel winter winds do not reach to the
bottom. Nonetheless, the quiet air is cold here, for the sun's
rays never reach the smoothly-paved ground either. Great iron
lanterns overhead throw a flickering light down to the center
of the courtyard, causing strange dark blue shadows to dance on
the frost in the far murky corners.
To the west, three steps lead up to an arch. To the east, two
stairways run up along the wall to meet on a high raised
landing, in front of an arch in the eastern wall.
Bard and Myrrh are sitting near here. A short guard, a shield,
Duraze and a handsome courier are standing near here. A cat is
standing near the north passageway. Delacroix is sitting near
the white marble arch. Sir Alrik, Sir Launfal, Haemos,
Ashitaka, Jasmine and Sir Gaudis are standing near the white
marble arch. You, Armsman Philo, Catharsis and Lord Sicard are
standing near the center of the courtyard. A snow drift is
lying in front of the staircases along the eastern wall.
Margaret and Faith are sitting on the staircases along the
eastern wall. Charmiam is standing on the staircases along the
eastern wall. Punzel is sitting on the low steps to the west.
Retribution is sitting against the western courtyard wall.
Robert is standing near Faer. Faer is standing near Kiera.
Mandrake is sitting near Anabeth. Ewan is sitting near
Margaret. Anabeth is sitting next to Margaret. Kiera is
standing near Zero. Avaria and Kristine are sitting next to
Delacroix. Zero is standing near Charmiam. Illiana is sitting
next to Linnet. Addreama is sitting near a shield. Linnet is
sitting next to Bard. Myrth is sitting near Myrrh. A scroll is
standing on a snow drift.

calling to which a warrior may aspire. Before us stand three
worthy candidates..."

Catharsis glances nervously.
Lord Sicard continues, ""Knighthood means many things as a
Knight's heart must true, their mind and body's strong and they
must moral in all things."
Lord Sicard says chivalrously, "You candidates have endevored
to embark on a quest ti test your mettle and honor. To be
Knight one must first walk three paths, a moral one, a mental
one..."
Lord Sicard adds seriously, "and a physical one."
Catharsis nods solemnly.
Lord Sicard says, "This eve you each shall duel the other
candidates once with the one who stands undefeated being the
winner of this and this will represent the physical
chal;lenge."
Armsman Philo nods slowly.
Catharsis glances significantly at Delacroix.
Catharsis ponders.
Lord Sicard says, "First to duel will be sera Catharsis and
Armsman Philo. These duels are for Honor and no blood is to be
shed."
Martel nods.
