The Duelists' Headquarters
Although this room is not a very large one, it is richly decorated
with colorful banners, artwork, and velvet sofas. At the far west
end is a window, under which is placed a well-polished bar covered
in bottles and decanters. Three crossed swords hang on the east
wall in a place of honor under a portrait of the Queen. A chandelier
overhead sheds a lively light.
Duraze is standing near here. Robert and Davog are sitting on
the brown velvet sofa. Martel, Punzel and Edanya are sitting on
the red velvet sofa. A low table is standing in front of the red
velvet sofa. Kiera is sitting next to Robert.
Punzel smiles slowly, "Anyone for a question game?"
Edanya grins, "Sure"
Martel blinks thoughtfully.
Davog smiles puzzledly.
Martel glances questioningly at Edanya.
Edanya nods to Punzel.
Robert smiles, "The last time I was in one of those...the
questions put to me were stumpers."
Punzel explains to Davog, "We play a question game, in which folk
take turns asking personal questions and answering as honestly
as possible."
Davog says to Punzel, "Well, I will give it a try."
Punzel adds, "The answers never leave this room."
Davog says, "I wouldn't dream of repeating anything told in
confidence."
Punzel smiles approvingly to Davog, "Well said, ser."
Edanya tells Punzel, "You start."
Edanya tells Davog, "The questioner asks one question of one
person. That person then asks a question... no tagbacks."
Punzel admits, "I do not have a question ready. Would anyone else
like to start?"
Martel raises his hand.
Edanya says, "Ok Martel first."
Punzel chuckles at Edanya, "So bossy tonight."
Punzel grins at Edanya.
Robert nods to Martel deferentially.
Edanya says, "Too much energy."
Punzel hugs Edanya.
Edanya says, "I was expecting ... more than ... what we got"
Edanya hugs Punzel tightly.
Punzel nods agreeingly, "As was I."
Edanya grins, "I was ready for ... hucking tankards."
Robert says to Edanya, "As was all of us I think"
Robert smiles.
Edanya grins at Davog, "I have a series of tales... about
hucking tankards."
Martel coughs meaningfully.
Punzel explains to Davog, "There was a disagreement earlier, and
we were prepared for the worst."
Edanya says, "Whoops."
Robert listens to Martel.
Martel says politely, "O.k. this is a doozy of a question."
Punzel listens to Martel.
Davog smiles at Edanya puzzledly.
Edanya listens to Martel.
Martel says to Punzel, "For you. Of course."
Punzel sighs, "Always."
Punzel says, "The difficult questions always for me."
Martel says seriously to Punzel, "Viola. The person who has
helped to give my life meaning. The person who has stood
beside me through some of the worst times."
Punzel blinks.
Robert smiles.
Punzel eyes Martel uncertainly.
Robert glances at Martel expectantly.
Martel continues, "The person who knows all my secrets, and
still seems to be willing to be with me. The person who I trust
implicitly in all things, who I would follow though hell's door
if she asked me to."
Punzel blushes slightly.
Martel gazes deeply at Punzel's pair of grey eyes.
Robert grins expectantly.
Martel kneels near Punzel.
Martel asks Punzel tenderly, "Viola, the love of my life, would
you consent to being my wife as well?"
Edanya grins broadly.
Martel adds impishly, "Remember, if you don't like the
question, or it's too personal, you can ask for another."
Davog smiles.
Martel watches Punzel hopefully.
Punzel blushes brightly.
Duraze blinks.
Robert grins happily.
Duraze smiles widely.
Punzel gazes wordlessly at a Duellists' headquarters.
Martel says softly, "The question game last eve was no
accident. But only my failed attempt at this."
Martel gazes lovingly at Punzel.
Martel holds Punzel's hand.
Punzel asks Martel hesitantly, "You ask this because you truly
want it, and not because anyone has pressured you?"
Martel asks impishly, "I thought there were no tagbacks? But
I'll answer."
Punzel laughs.
Edanya laughs.
Robert chuckles merrily.
Martel says firmly, "No one has pressured me. I do this of my
own free will. I can not imagine a day in this place if you
were not by my side."
Robert holds Kiera lovingly.
Punzel tearfully shakes her head.
Edanya says, "Awwww."
Punzel hugs Martel tightly.
Punzel nods tearfully.
Martel hugs Punzel joyfully.
Davog smiles at Martel.
Robert laughs.
Edanya cheers loudly.
Punzel cries quietly.
Martel says to Punzel, "You know, you still have to answer the
question at some point. Or just ask for another."
Edanya whistles loudly.
Robert exclaims excitedly, "I was wondering when you would
finally ask that question, Brother!"
Duraze laughs quietly.
Edanya nudges Punzel, "Answer him already."
Martel says to Robert, "It was to be last eve, but ... other
things interfeared."
Punzel tells Martel quietly, "I want nothing more in the entire
world, love."
Martel says apologetically to Davog, "I'm sorry to so disrupt
your first duelist meeintg."
Davog grins, "I did not realize how personal the questions
would be."
Martel exclaims, "Huzzah!"
Punzel laughs at Davog.
Robert laughs merrily.
Punzel brushes her pair of grey eyes.
Edanya raises her beer triumphantly.
Martel laughs merrily.
Martel raises his pewter goblet.
Duraze takes a tea-filled mug.
Edanya exclaims, "To Viola and Martel!"
Robert says to Davog, "Most of the questions are not that
personal in nature."
Martel firmly kisses Punzel.
Davog exclaims, "Yes, congratulations!"
Punzel kisses Martel happily.
Robert raises his beer.
Duraze joyfully raises his tea-filled mug.
Edanya hugs Punzel.
Edanya hugs Martel.
Edanya sits down near Punzel.
Punzel blushes slightly.
Martel says softly to Punzel, "I hope you will forgive me if I
only have myself to give you for a asking gift. But I am sure
that our tokens will rival any others."
Robert sips from his beer.
Martel beams happily.
Punzel smiles dazedly.
Martel gasps, "Katherine will kill me for doing this without
her here!"
Edanya says, "The things we do for love"
Duraze nods ruefully to Edanya.
Edanya tells Martel, "You'll survive. You won't enjoy it but
you will survive."
Martel nods ruefully.
Martel says quietly to Punzel, "You have made me the happiest
person in the castle."
Robert smiles at Martel, "Well, Brother....when you and Punzel
get it arranged...I will conduct your Vigil with you and marry
you if you wish"
Punzel blushes slightly.
Martel says, "I expect I will have to spend the eve telling
everyone. Unless you would rather do it yourself later, Viola?"
Robert chuckles amusedly, "Or you could ask for Philo..."
Punzel shakes her head, "I am overwhelmed."
Martel glares at Robert, "We'll figure that out later."
Punzel laughs quietly.
Robert bites his lip amusedly.
Martel says jokingly to Punzel, "And YOU ask Zia for tokens. She
apparently really doesn't care for me."
Robert shudders amusedly.
Punzel glances at Martel.
Martel bounces unconsciously.
Martel shrugs, "You still don't have the earings I've been
trying to get you."
Punzel blushes slightly, "I already know what my token is."
Duraze glances bemusedly at Martel.
Martel blinks.
Martel frowns slightly, "Hmmm. I had better get thinking then."
Edanya giggles.
Punzel explains ruefully to Martel, "I have been thinking on this
... I was going to propose to you."
Punzel chuckles.
Punzel adds, "In a question game."
Punzel grins at Martel.
Davog chuckles.
Martel grins, "Well, we do share a brain."
Punzel nods mysteriously.
Edanya snickers.
Martel touches his head mysteriously.
Robert chuckles.
Martel asks Punzel, "So, should I let others know, or should we
swear the room to silence so you can tell your family?"
Edanya says, "We might want to go and announce it ... eventually."
Punzel shakes her head, "You need not remain silent. All my
family knows I was longing for this anyway."
Punzel blushes slightly.
Duraze chuckles quietly to Punzel, "Well, now I don't have to
worry about wanting to punch him every time he kisses you."
Martel nods warmly, "Well, then I expect I will race through
the castle later. Trumpeting it."
Kiera hugs Punzel warmly.
Punzel hugs Kiera.
Punzel asks, "Did you all know?"
Kiera hugs Martel warmly.
Martel smiles at Punzel, "I told your triad, so they could be
there with you."
Robert says, "I didn't, but when he phrased the question as he
did, I suspected."
Martel nods understandingly.
Robert grins, "I proposed to Kiera in here as well...so I
figured that was what you were up to"
Kiera smiles softly at Robert.
Robert hugs Punzel, "Congratulations."
Punzel hugs Robert.
Martel says to Punzel, "Go upstairs. Let me tell some of the
gossips, then I'll join you."
Robert chuckles.
Kiera chuckles.
