The eastern end of the dining hall, divided from the main section only by two thick stone
pillars. A huge fireplace set in the east wall warms the vast hall with lively golden
firelight. There is a long dining table in the northern corner and one in the southern
corner. In front of the fireplace, some low wooden stools are clustered together on a
threadbare red rug.
A beer is lying near here. Illiana and Mintle are sitting near here. Quondam is standing
near here. Andrew is standing near Faer. Kiera and Punzel are sitting on a bench at
the north table. Xander is sitting on the red rug. Gaerin, Sylandros and Morte are
sitting on the north table. Sansamor is standing near the south table. Robert is
standing near Kiera. Faer is standing next to Kiera. Edanya and Duraze are sitting next
to Punzel. Patrick is sitting near Illiana. Lobo is sitting next to Illiana. Kristine is sitting
next to Sylandros.
Kiera gazes at her, Patrick, Edanya, Duraze, Lobo, Faer, Punzel, Robert, Andrew,
Quondam, Sansamor, Kristine, Sylandros, Morte, Gaerin, Mintle, Xander and Illiana.
Kiera smiles happily, "We are gathered here this eve, to induct into the Duelist
Brotherhood.."
Kiera says, "Sera Punzel.."
Punzel smiles happily.
Kiera says, "Sera Edanya"
Edanya grins saucily.
Kiera says, "and Ser Duraze"
Duraze nods honorably.
Sansamor twitches.
Kiera says, "Three *very* different individuals who make up a stronger whole, a
Triad."
Andrew chuckles slightly.
Kiera says, "First..a toast to the new Triad.."
Edanya wiggles her derriere wickedly.
[Lots of people raise mugs and goblets.]
Illiana beams proudly at Punzel.
Lobo smiles proudly at Punzel.
Kiera says, "Friends, Brothers, Sisters, ...please join us in our good wishes for this new
Triad. Your Path is not an easy one, but a most rewarding one"
Kristine grins at Duraze.
Kiera says, "To the new Triad"
Faer says, "To to Duraze, Edanya, and Viola for your courage and your strength."
[Lots of people drink.]
Kiera smiles brightly.
Punzel blushes slightly.
Illiana smiles.
Edanya grins.
Faer winks at Kiera.
Faer says, "You three have professed and proved your wish to live by the duelist's
code though in truth we think it is natural for you to do so. We have seen evidence of
your deep friendship to one another. We have seen you fight for one another willing
to lay down your honor or your life for the principal you believe. We have seen you
give aid and support to your brother when he is in need. We have seen you work to
unearth the truth of an unjustice with all of your heart. And, we have seen each of you
display nothing but the utmost honor, loyalty and respect for our Queen and her
people with a strong desire to protect and serve them both faithfully."
Punzel nods solemnly.
Andrew applauds.
Lobo nods.
Robert smiles warmly.
Illiana smiles.
Kiera smiles gently.
Kristine smiles.
Edanya nods agreeably.
Andrew smiles agreeingly.
Duraze murmurs silently, "Long may She reign."
Kiera nods to Faer.
Kiera smiles at her, Watchman Gareth, Lobo, Andrew, Sansamor, Patrick, Edanya,
Duraze, Faer, Punzel, Robert, Quondam, Kristine, Sylandros, Morte, Gaerin, Mintle,
Xander and Illiana, "Honor, friendship, respect, loyalty, truth - these are our edicts and
the qualities that make a fine duelist. To them we add trust and passion."
Kiera says, "You are three are as one now - you are separate but never alone. And
though we all make a circle and are brothers and sisters in arms - your triumvirate is
your strength. You will find that you will be tested. By others. and by one another. In
such times - do not forget this moment. Do not forget your oaths. Trust one another
when you can trust no one else. Your friendship and trust is your foundation to all
you may achieve together or alone."
Kiera gazes steadily at her, Faer, Watchman Gareth, Lobo, Andrew, Sansamor,
Patrick, Edanya, Duraze, Punzel, Robert, Quondam, Kristine, Sylandros, Morte,
Gaerin, Mintle, Xander and Illiana.
Punzel nods seriously.
Edanya grins knowingly.
Punzel squeezes Edanya's hand.
Kiera smiles warmly at Faer.
Punzel squeezes Duraze's hand.
Kiera smiles warmly at Robert.
Duraze smiles warmly.
Robert exclaims meaningfully, "Passion. We are not the ones to wait when there is
honor besmirched, when there is trust broken, when there is justice required. When
someone is in need. Act! Act passionately in all of these things and allow it to fall into
the rest of your life. Dance, laugh, rage, eat and drink passionately. Fight passionately.
Live passionately. Love passionately."
Edanya wiggles her derriere covertly.
Punzel blushes slightly.
Edanya mutters, "I like that love part..."
Edanya grins wickedly.
Kiera grins.
Sansamor smiles.
Lobo glances at Edanya.
Illiana grins.
Duraze glances at Edanya.
Duraze blushes covertly.
Robert asks firmly, "Do you three understand the oath you give? This is an oath for
life and binds you together for always. Are you still prepared to offer it- Aye or Nay?."
Faer gazes expectantly.
Edanya exclaims, "Aye!"
Punzel nods seriously, "Aye."
Duraze solemnly states, "Aye."
Faer glances at Kiera.
Kiera says, "Do you three swear to hold honor, friendship and respect to your Queen,
your people and your brothers and sisters in arms above all? Do you swear to work
as one and to show by your example to all thers who would wish to know who a
duelist is and what we are made of"
Kiera gazes seriously.
Edanya nods, "Aye!"
Punzel nods firmly, "Aye."
Duraze nods seriously, "Aye."
Faer asks seriously, "Do you three swear to uphold justice and truth? To always strive
to do that which is good and right for Queen and the people that we seek to protect?"
Robert gazes levelly.
Edanya nods, "Absolute! Aye!"
Punzel states seriously, "Aye."
Duraze firmly states, "Aye."
Faer smiles.
Robert asks seriously, "Do you three agree to give your all in every duel and every
motion? To live and fight well and hard and with determination?"
Edanya exclaims, "Oh, hell yes!"
Robert smiles.
Edanya says, "Um. Aye."
Illiana blinks at Edanya.
Punzel blinks.
Duraze grins slightly.
Kiera chuckles softly.
Punzel nods seriously, "Aye."
Edanya grins sheepishly.
Morte chuckles softly.
Duraze coughs politely, "Aye."
Punzel smiles subtly at Edanya.
Lobo chuckles.
Deirdre grins.
Illiana giggles to herself.
Punzel chuckles quietly.
Edanya mutters softly, "Well... I do."
Faer glances at Kiera.
Kiera asks gently, "Do you three agree to be one another's strength, to seek to upport
your brother and sisters in arms. To be three but always as one. Are you prepared to
lay down your lives for your oaths and each other?"
Edanya nods definitely, "Aye."
Duraze solemnly swears, "Aye."
Punzel nods solemnly, "Aye."
Kiera nods solemnly.
Faer nods solemnly to Robert.
Robert says, "Then we offer a toast to you, and a charge: live your lives within these
edicts. Follow them in the name of honor and in the name of our Queen, our people
and for each other and you will bring glory and honor to every deed that you do.."
Punzel listens solemnly.
Punzel nods agreeingly.
Edanya grins broadly.
Duraze nods solemnly.
[Lots of people raise their mugs and goblets, and then drink.]
[Robert, Kiera, and Faer then pass Duelists' pins, black scabbards with long swords,
cavalier hats with white plumes, and elegantly carved bronze keys (which unlock the
door to the Duelists' Room) to Duraze, Edanya, and Punzel (Viola).]
Faer says carefully, "We will give these to you, and you are to give them to each other
as you have seen us just do. Tis showing the trust that you have in each other."
Faer says warmly, "Now - Let us a toast. To our brother and sisters in arms: Duraze,
Edanya, and Viola. May they live and fight long and well."
[Lots of people raise mugs and goblets, and then drink.]
Martel arrives through the space between the pillars.
Kiera smiles at Martel.
Robert smiles at Martel.
Martel grins widely.
Duraze grins widely at Martel.
Faer smiles genuinely, "Now for the party."
Faer smiles widely.
Edanya exclaims, "YEAH!"
Kristine smiles warmly at Martel.
Martel moves from the space between the pillars to Punzel.
Martel hugs Punzel fiercely.
Sansamor raises his beer.
Sansamor drinks a beer.
An empty beer mug disappears into a mist.
Faer smiles warmly at Punzel.
Faer smiles warmly at Edanya.
Faer smiles warmly at Duraze.
Sansamor leaves through the space between the pillars.
Kiera smiles warmly at Duraze.
Kiera smiles warmly at Punzel.
Kiera smiles warmly at Edanya.
Duraze glances at Faer.
[Duraze, Edanya, and Punzel wear their pins, black scabbards, and hats, and get hugged
by lots of people. Lots of people smile and nod happily and suchlike.]
Lobo tells Punzel, "I'm so proud of you"
Martel pouts, "I want a black scabbard too."
Punzel smiles secretively.
Punzel glances at Martel.
Punzel murmurs, "Wow."
Punzel amazedly shakes her head, "I can't believe it."
Faer smiles amusedly.
Martel squeezes Punzel's hand.
[Lobo gives Edanya some leather pants to replace the ones she lost, she kisses him
a big smackeroo, and everybody heads to off to party!]
